TFP Prime: Student-Led Productions

TFP Prime is a unique student-led theatrical experience where young artist take full creative control of a production weather a musical or a straight play. This program allows students to step into leadership roles, from directing to designing, while gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the theater production.

Each TFP Prime show is carefully selected by our executive production team from student-submitted proposals. The chosen production team not only determines the vision for the show but also assembles the cast and crew, making this a fully student-driven experience. TFP is more than just a performance-it's a collaborative journey that fosters creativity, leadership, and deep appreciation for the art of theater.

How It Works:

  • Director Submissions: Students interested in directing must submit a proposal detailing their vision for the show, including plans for casting, set design, costumes, and overall production. Submissions should also outline the proposed production team.

  • Selection Process: The Executive Director of The Franklin Playhouse will review all submissions and select the show based on feasibility creativity, and overall preparedness.

  • Production Responsibilities: Once selected, the student director and their team will be responsible for fundraising, casting, rehearsals, and coordinating all production elements. They will work closely with the Executive Director to bring their vision to life.

TFP Prime offers an invaluable opportunity for students to gain leadership experience, collaborate with peers, and create an outstanding theatrical production from the ground up.
