Welcome to
The Franklin Playhouse
Welcome to The Franklin Playhouse a creative home for performers to grow in confidence, craft, and community. We’re a Franklin-based performing arts studio offering musical theatre training and production experiences that go far beyond “putting on a show.” Here, performers build skills in storytelling, acting, singing, movement, audition technique, teamwork, and real-world theatre habits all in a supportive environment where every kid is seen and valued.
What sets us apart is the range of opportunities we create so our students are ready to adapt to any musical theatre environment. We don’t train kids for just one stage or one style we prepare them for the real world of theatre by giving them experience performing in a variety of spaces, including Frankie’s Black Box at The Franklin Playhouse, TFP Lawnchair Theatre, Mockingbird Theatre at The Factory in Franklin, Nashville-area venues like the 4th Story Theatre, and The Village near Lenox Village/Cane Ridge seating 500+.

Just as importantly, we believe the arts should serve the community. Our students don't only perform they learn how to use their gifts to give back through performances and partnerships that support organizations like the Nashville Rescue Mission, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and special events for the City of Franklin.
And we believe theatre isn’t only about being in the spotlight it’s about understanding the full process. Our students are encouraged to learn not only onstage performance, but also backstage and production roles like running crew, stage management support, props, costumes, and tech. In our student-led productions, students can also serve as members of the production team gaining leadership experience and learning how a show is built from the ground up.
At The Franklin Playhouse, students don’t just do a show they become adaptable performers, dependable teammates, and confident theatre artists who are ready for the next opportunity wherever it is. Come create with us. Come belong.
Highlights from past productions built together with heart, grit and community. Thank you to all the performer and families who made these productions possible. Each show was built with courage, dedication and joy. I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with your performer.
